Part 1
Learning to play guitar through reading regular notation can be fun unless you don't know how to read it. Great, now it gives you something else to learn before you can learn more about the guitar. Well, how about forgetting the notation and learn to play guitar tab for free? But what is guitar tab?

Well, tab is a form of notation as standard music notation has 5 lines that the notes A through G are aligned on, guitar tablature (tab) shows 6 lines coinciding with each string on the guitar. Of course, the number of lines would change for a bass guitar with normally 4 strings or for those who play a 7 string guitar. Unlike standard notation, showing symbols to represent the beat held for that note, numbers are placed on tab to represent the fret that the string it is on is strummed. The usual symbols are there for bends, vibrato, hammer-ons and pull-offs as well. It is up to the guitarist to figure out the rhythm of the song on their on, which is pretty easy playing along with the song.
