Acoustic Guitar Tabs - An Introduction To Learn How To Play Acoustic Guitar

If there is a number on each of the lines and the numbers are on the top of one another on the acoustic guitar tab, it means that you have to play all those notes at the same time, strumming the six strings together.

You will also see things like pull-offs, bends and slides and hammer-ons. Hammer ons can be found with the letter "h". Pull-offs are indicated by "p" and bends are noted by "b". Slides are signaled with a "/".

Once you've mastered the technique required to read a tab, do a Google search and pick a song you like. You will easily find the tabs for that songs. It is much easier to play along to your favorite song than playing a song you are not familiar with. You will be pleasantly surprised with your progress.
